I  am very happy to inform you that Gram Unnayan Karma (GUK) has completed successful 18 years of its development endeavors towards achieving “Empowerment of the poor and hard core poor” within its operational areas. GUK has been implementing a good number of projects activities in its operational areas for poverty reduction and sustainable rural development since its inception. Realizing the need to complement the existing poverty reduction approaches of the Government, GUK has been facilitating enabling environment to scale up social assistance interventions with community participation targeting poor and ultra poor

who are considered to be most vulnerable and remain  dispossessed of basic living facilities and  unable to establish their rights in the society. At present GUK, working areas have been expanded in 6 districts, 28 upazila and over 199 unions in the northern part of Bangladesh.
