Financial Management |

GUK has a strong financial unit with skilled personnel. The Chief Accounts Officer heads the unit with supporting staff like accounts officer, accountants, auditors and assistant accountants. All the projects funds are operated through separate bank accounts. The accounts manual and financial rules are followed strictly. |

There is regular system of internal and external audit of all accounts of different projects funds. Annual audit by authorized Chartered Accounts Firm is mandatory to ensure transparency and accountability of projects funds. Financial management training on book keeping by using simple accounting formats is a continuous process of GUK. At present, all financial transactions are based on budgetary control system with adequate flexibility. Bangladesh Accounting Standards are its accounting basis. The financial statements for the year 2007 will help asses the financial strength of GUK by the honorable readers. |

Administrative Management |

The administrative unit of GUK is directly controlled by the Executive Director with a chain of command at different levels. The administrative rules are followed by the officials of GUK as guiding principles to ensure better administration and smooth functioning of the organization. The service rules of GUK help proper implementation of administrative actions and maintenance of organizational discipline. |

Program Management |

Gram Unnayan karma (GUK) has its own program management system which is run efficiently and effectively. There are two major wings of program management. One is the micro-finance program and the other is development program. The micro finance program is managed by the Joint Director (Micro-Finance) having a chain of command down wards to the field with a hierarchy linkage with the Executive Director. He also maintains linkage with other heads of unit for smooth and proper functioning of project activities. Like wise the Director (Program) is responsible for proper implementation of all Social mobilization and development programs in the respective project area. In fact, the system of Program Management of GUK is unique one for its specialty and applicability. |
